A Willard alderman has resigned after pleading guilty in federal court to charges of wire fraud and identity theft.
Court documents say that Corey Hendrickson allegedly used his position at Prime trucking company in Springfield to embezzle more than $300 thousand dollars between 2016 and 2021.
He allegedly used the personal information of 500 drivers to take the money.
At the time, Hendrickson was also serving as mayor of Willard.
