Forsyth Police Officer Released From Hospital After Being Shot

A Forsyth police officer who was shot Tuesday night has been released from the hospital.

Taney County Sheriff Brad Daniels says the officer’s bulletproof vest saved his life.

The officer saw a man walking near the intersection of Highways 160 and 76 in Kissee Mills.

When the officer tried to speak with the man, the suspect fired several shots.

He was taken into custody as authorities were aided by K-9’s and a drone.

Sheriff Daniels says the suspect had three guns when he was arrested.
