Galloway Village Development Question Fails in Springfield

After a long, four year battle throughout the city, a development across from Sequiota Park has been turned away.

Over 70 percent of Springfield residents voted against the proposed measure on Tuesday.

The city council approved the measure in 2018, but push back from community members, including a judge’s decision to put the proposition on the ballot, gave the decision back to Springfield residents.

The development had strong support from city leaders, including mayor Ken McClure.
