Greene County Deputies Can Show Off Their Tattoos

new look

Members of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department will be sporting a different look this summer.

The Sheriff’s Office is now allowing deputies with visible tattoos to wear short sleeve shirts during on hot days.

Sheriff Jim Arnot says he believes law enforcement should change with the social norms of the community.

Also, deputies will be wearing the gear they are required to carry in an external vest rather than on duty belt.

Sheriff Arnott says the vest will reduce strain on the deputy’s backs.
