A Greene County juvenile is in custody in Oklahoma after a two-state crime spree that ended with a fatal car crash.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report from Henry County of an abandoned vehicle from Greene County.
The owner was contacted and said it was his 17-year-old son’s vehicle and his son was missing.
The teenager had stolen a vehicle in Henry County, before breaking into a house in the Frisco Hills neighborhood and stealing another vehicle.
The teenager then stole a vehicle in Vinita, Oklahoma and led law enforcement on a pursuit which ended when he struck a car, on Highway 66, killing a cheerleader from a local college and injuring her mother.
The teenager’s name is not being released.
