Legendary Missouri State and Kansas City Chiefs broadcaster Art Hains is celebrating his birthday with an incredible new gift.
During a birthday celebration for the now 67-year-old, he was given a Super Bowl ring for the Chiefs victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57.
Hains has been the Chiefs pregame and postgame host for several years.
He missed most of last season while battling the effects of West Nile Virus, which has greatly impacted his movement and has confined him to a wheelchair.
Despite it all, the NFL organization wanted to celebrate his years of hard work and contributions to the radio broadcast featuring Danan Hughes and Mitch Holthus.
Due to incredible resilience, Hains is back in the booth for Missouri State home football and men’s basketball games. He is also back doing studio reports for pregame and postgame with the Chiefs.
