Hot and humid conditions continue throughout the state, with daily afternoon highs this week reaching into the mid to upper 90’s, leading to heat index readings between 100 and 105 through at least Thursday.

The National Weather Service says the Extreme Heat Warning has been replaced by a Head Advisory through Thursday.

Heat exhaustion, heat stroke, dehydration, and little nighttime heat relief are all hazards during the current weather conditions.
