After a couple of nice days with seasonal temps, the heat returns for the weekend and much of next week.

What We Know: Temperatures steadily increase over the next several days. Highs Saturday and Sunday could reach the mid to upper 90’s, with heat index readings up to 105 Sunday through Tuesday and as high as 107 by Wednesday.

What We Don’t Know: What, days will include a Heat Advisory of Extreme Heat Warning, but forecasters say those “heat headlines” will likely be needed due to the longevity of the heat and overnight temps in the 70’s.

What to Do: Know the signs of heat exhaustion, heat stroke and dehydration. If outside for any length of time, take frequent breaks in the shade or get into an air conditioned building. Also, wear light-colored, loose fitting and lightweight clothing and drink plenty of water.

What to Know About Rain Chances: Meteorologists say no rain chances are in the forecast through at least Wednesday.
