Local Church Turns Into Shelter

A Springfield church has converted to an emergency shelter for families for the winter.

The Connecting Grounds Church will not hold in-person services until April.

The church can house up to four families at a time. Church members say a shelter for families in the area is desperately needed. Volunteers from the church will operate the shelter.
