Man Arrested in Connection with 2020 Fentanyl Overdose in West Plains

A man is in custody in Howell County facing murder charges for the death of another person due to a fentanyl overdose back in 2020.

Authorities say Thomas Bennett was arrested earlier this year.

Officers arrived at a home in West Plains in September of 2020, where they found the victim dead and several types of drug paraphernalia inside the house.

Investigators discovered numerous messages between Bennett and the victim, and Bennett later admitted to selling the victim drugs for several years.

The messages were later deleted.

He is charged with second-degree murder.
