UPDATE: Investigators have now ruled the man’s death as a suicide.
Police say the man died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The identity of the man has yet to be released.
ORIGINAL: Springfield Police are investigating the death of a man at a city park.
Officers responded to a disturbance at Grant Beach Park around 7 pm Wednesday.
Investigators found a man dead but have not released a cause of death or his name at this time.
Witnesses say a vehicle left the park around the time of the crime.
Police are wanting to locate the driver and ask them some questions.
