Man from Fair Grove Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 65

A man from Fair Grove is dead after he crashed his motorcycle while driving along Highway 65.

Investigators say 42-year-old Joseph Mauldin was going northbound on US 65 Sunday night about a mile south of Highway CC when he crossed the median and crashed head-on into a car traveling southbound.

Highway Patrol troopers believe he was travelling at a high-rate of speed, and that may have been a factor in the crash.

Mauldin was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance, but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Two people inside the car that was travelling southbound were treated for minor injuries.
