A man from Greene County who was employed by a Springfield roofing company is now in custody for taking money from customers and not completing his work.
Investigators say Mark Frye accepted money while employed by Advanced Restorations from customers for roofing or other work, that he never completed.
A total of ten victims have been reported, but only nine chose to press charges against him.
Advanced Restorations has not been implicated in Frye’s crimes, and have since fired him from the company. Reports say that the company has even pushed for prosecutors to pursue criminal charges and has cooperated fully with the investigation.
Frye is charged with six felony counts of stealing, and three misdemeanor charges of deceptive business practices.
The total amount stolen is estimated to be over $50,000.
