Man from Marshfield Stabbed to Death, Two Teenagers Charged with Murder

Two teenagers are in custody, facing murder charges, after a man was stabbed to death at his home.

Investigators say Thomas Keith Jr. and Alissa Staples got into an altercation with 52-year-old Shawn Ellingburg at his home on June 28.

The argument escalated, and the two teens allegedly stabbed and killed Ellingburg.

Keith Jr. and Staples then fled the scene, but were later arrested and taken into custody.

According to a witness that overheard the argument, a racial slur was used directed towards Ellingburg, who is black.

Both Keith and Staples are charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
