Man from Rolla Reports Dead Body in His House Three Days After Finding It

A man from Rolla is in custody after telling authorities there was a dead body in his home after three days of living with it.

61-year-old Brian Chambers is facing charges of abandonment of a corpse after authorities identified the body of 37-year-old Jessica Allen at his home on January 17.

According to Chambers, she died on January 14 and he spent three days with the body in the house, going about his normal activities.

He contacted authorities via email, saying he believed she died of an overdose.

Allen was reported missing on January 10, reportedly last seen with an older while male.

Chambers is at the Phelps County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
