Man from Springfield Accused of Beating Woman with Tire Iron

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office say a man from Springfield is in custody after allegedly hitting a woman with a tire iron.

59-year-old Timothy Larue faces charges of first-degree domestic assault, third-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.

Authorities were called to a home on February 16th for a domestic violence situation, where they discovered a woman with multiple lacerations and blood across his body.

The victim told deputies that Larue kicked her in the stomach and punched her in the face, then began repeatedly hitting her in the face with the tire iron.

Larue has pleaded guilty to all three charges. He is being held in the Christian County Jail.
