Man from Springfield Accused of Shooting a Woman Facing Additional Charges

A man in custody for allegedly shooting a woman in Springfield is now being charged with additional crimes in a separate case.

25-year-old Brandon Huddleston was initially arrested for the shooting and killing of Lacey Nix on La Siesta Place November 13.

He told authorities that the two got into an argument, and he admitted to shooting her, saying that she had pointed a gun at him first.

Two guns were found at the scene.

On Wednesday, Huddleston was charged with burglary, stealing and domestic assault for allegedly robbing the Spin City Gambling Center with Nix earlier that same day.

Prosecutors believe the argument that led to the shooting began over how the stolen money would be split up.
