A man from Springfield is facing theft charges for allegedly stealing air conditioners from area businesses.
Investigators say Brandin Hylton stole at least three air-conditioning units from businesses in Springfield between July and August of this year.
An accomplice to the crimes say he and Hylton stole as many as 15 units. He is not facing charges at this time.
Hylton told authorities that he had been dealing with an ongoing drug abuse problem and had several relatives who had fallen ill, which led to the thefts.
He is charged with three counts of stealing at this time.
