An elderly man from Springfield is now back home safe after being reported missing Wednesday afternoon.
Springfield Police say Melvin Snyder went missing yesterday after he went to a McDonald’s near Republic Road and National and didn’t come home.
The 86-year-old has been diagnosed with dementia, and there was rising fear from loved ones about his whereabouts.
Investigators say he was finally located and returned home safely, but officers have not said where Snyder was found.
