A man from Springfield will spend over a decade in prison after pleading guilty to a dozen different charges in a string of thefts and burglaries.
Prosecutors say 37-year-old Dustin Hagerman pleaded guilty to the charges in September of this year, which included:
- Four counts of second-degree burglary
- Unlawful possession of a firearm
- Two counts of stealing over $25,000
- Stealing a firearm
- Three counts of stealing over $750
- Tampering with a motor vehicle
He was accused of engaging in theft and burglary on nine different dates between September 3, 2021 and January 5, 2023, including on Christmas Day of 2022.
Hagerman was sentenced to ten or 15 years for each charge that he pleaded guilty to, but the judge ruled that the sentences be served concurrently, rather than consecutively.
The case was investigated by the Springfield Police Department, and prosecuted by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ethan Auten.
