A man from Springfield will spend years in prison after pleading guilty to numerous charges stemming from a drug bust.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the home of 43-year-old Christopher Kelley in March of 2021, where they found two handguns, ammunition, two cellphones, over $6,800 in cash, 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine, and other drug paraphernalia.

Following his arrest, authorities say Kelley admitted to buying between four and six pound of meth per week to sell for about a six month period.

He pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug-trafficking.

Kelley was sentenced Monday, February 5, to 16 years and six months in prison.
