Manufacturing Plant Burns North of Seymour

A fire that broke out at Ozark Hardwood Pellets north of Seymour Tuesday night continued to burn Wednesday morning.

The manufacturing plant is located north of Seymour at the intersection of Highways AB and C.

The Southern Webster County Fire Department has been on the scene, along with the Seymour Fire Department and others, and fire officials say the current plan is to let the fire burn for a couple of days.

Crews will stay on the scene due to high winds in the forecast.

Firefighters say dust and other flammable materials have helped fuel the flames.

No one was inside the building when the flames broke out around 11 p.m. Tuesday, and there have been no reports of injuries.
