A man will soon be transported to prison after he pleaded guilty to his rule in a home invasion that occurred in Springfield.
Prosecutors say William Rush pleaded guilty earlier this week to multiple counts, including:
- First-degree burglary
- Two counts of kidnapping
- Two counts of third-degree assault
- Two counts of armed criminal action
- First-degree robbery
- Stealing
Investigators in the case say Rush, as well as his co-defendant Justin Lentz, broke into the home of an elderly couple on North Farm Road 171 last year.
Once inside the home, the two suspects tied up the couple, abused them physically, poured chemicals on them, and ultimately robbed the home.
Lentz was sentenced in September of this year to 20 years in prison.
Rush also received a 20 year prison sentence as part of his plea agreement.
