A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for deliberately hitting a Highway Patrol Trooper with his car in 2021.
Galen Sailer admitted he hit the Trooper on purpose in a parking lot near Lebanon. The Trooper said Sailer was talking about how his brother was killed by a police officer.
Sailer was originally charged with First Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action and Leaving the Scene of an Accident, but pleaded guilty to Second Degree Assault, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Property Damage.
His sentences on those charges will run consecutively for a total of 20 years.
