Memorial Service Scheduled for Slain Lebanon Native Cassidy Rainwater

After more than three years, a memorial service for Cassidy Rainwater will now take place following her death.

Rainwater disappeared in July of 2021, and was reported missing in August. Her body was discovered at the home of James Phelps in Dallas County in October of the same year.

The case broke open after an anonymous tip came in which contained a photo of Rainwater in a cage on Phelps’ property.

Two suspects in the case, Phelps and Timothy Norton, each received a life sentence for their roles in her disappearance and death.

Rainwater’s family has announced the memorial service will be held on August 16 at 1:00pm at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
