Democrat House Minor Leader Crystal Quade is making a run for Missouri’s highest office.

Quade released a video over the weekend attacking Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, who’s one of three Republicans running for governor.

Quade, who graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in social work, has served Springfield’s 132nd district in the House since 2016 and is being term-limited out of that office.

Quade became House Minority Leader in 2019.

She says she will protect Missouri family farms by proposing a ban on China and Russia from owning farmland in the state, and will fight to repeal the state’s ban on abortions.

Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe, and State Senator Bill Eigel have all announced their intention to run for Governor on the GOP side.

Quade officially launches her campaign Monday in Springfield.
