What We Know: The Missouri Department of Mental Health has launched a new statewide wellness campaign aimed at veterans, service members and their families.

What It Means: It’s called the Live Life Mission, and the program encourages people to improve their overall well-being through small, everyday habits.

Veterans Services Director Jon Sabala says improving wellness doesn’t have to mean making major changes all at once. Instead, the program focuses on completing one simple activity at a time and building healthier habits along the way.

What’s Next: The free program includes eight areas of wellness and allows people to participate at their own pace. It also offers activity suggestions, a printable progress tracker, and motivational emails.

The Live Life Mission is open to veterans, active service members, military families and military-connected youth across Missouri.
