Motorcyclist Sentenced In Fatal Pedestrian Hit & Run Crash

A man who struck and killed a pedestrian with a motorcycle in a hit-and-run crash has been sentenced.

56-year-old Rodney Shires of Springfield has been sentenced to four years in prison but will receive credit for time already spent in custody.

Springfield Police say Shires struck 59-year-old Sandra Brown as she was crossing Fremont Avenue last year.

Shires left the scene.

Shires did not have a valid Missouri driver’s license and his Arkansas license was suspended.
