MSHP Arrest Man For Sister’s Death

The Highway Patrol have arrested a man in connection to a body found in Shannon County in 2022.

The Patrol says Robert Bender faces charges of first-degree murder, stealing, and abandonment of a corpse in the death of his sister Debra Ramsey.

Bender lived with Ramsey.

Ramsey’s body was found off of U-S 60, west of Winona.

An autopsy showed she died from gunshot wounds.

Investigators say Bender had allegedly used her Alton bank account.

Bender is being held in jail without bond.
