Springfield officially has a new mayor.
Jeff Schrag took the oath at Monday’s city council meeting, along with four council members elected on April 8th.
Councilman Craig Hosmer gave a heartfelt speech honoring the outgoing mayor, Ken McClure, who has served since 2017.
McClure gave his final speech as mayor, thanking fellow council members and the citizens of Springfield.
In addition to Schrag, Councilman Bruce Adib-Yazdi, Councilman Craig Hosmer, Councilman Heather Hardinger, and Councilwoman Monica Horton all took their oath after winning in the April 8th election.
