Nixa Man Sentenced for Shooting at Law Enforcement

A man from Nixa has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for shooting at a Greene County Deputy.

Jason Gideon was driving a stolen pickup last January when the deputy tried to stop him. Gideon drove off and Fair Grove Police set up spike strips that deflated one of the truck’s tires.

Gideon continued to drive, shooting at deputies from the pickup.

He crashed on Highway 65 and was arrested.
