Nixa School Board Meeting to Decide on Books in School Libraries

The Nixa School Board will hold a special meeting Tuesday night, June 20th, to review books some parents want removed from school libraries.

The board will also review three books that could be in violation of a new state law, including “Maus” by Art Spiegelman. The board will also decide whether to keep or restrict four other books.

District officials say the books have been reviewed by library staff and administrators, and the board will make a final decision on them at the meeting.

The board will meet at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, June 20th.
