No Vote for Foreign Ownership of Farmland

The Missouri Senate has passed a bill limiting foreign ownership of farmland in the state.

The bill would reduce the amount of agricultural land that could be foreign owned and prohibit future sales to foreign entities.

Thre tenths of one percent of Missouri farmland is currently foreign owned. China, New Zealand, and Spain are the biggest owners.
