A motorcyclist is dead following a crash with an SUV Monday morning.
Authorities say the motorcyclist was turning onto Battlefield Road from West Bypass at around 7 a.m. this morning and collided with the SUV.
The driver of the motorcycle died of his injuries, while the driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital.
The identity of the two drivers has not been released at this time.
