UPDATE: One Person Dead In House Fire In Northwest Springfield

A person is dead in a house fire in Northwest Springfield Thursday evening.

Springfield Firefighters responded to a fire at a house on North Oakland Avenue behind the Library Station on Kansas Expressway.

One person was found inside.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The Fire Marshal has been called in to determine the cause of the fire.
