Part of Campbell Avenue will close next week for work that is part of the renew Jordan Creek project.
Campbell will close between Water Street and Mill Street in downtown Springfield, starting Monday.
Detours will be posted in the area, but access to businesses and parking lots will be open.
A longer closure of Campbell is expected to start this summer.
