The City of Bolivar is warning residents of a scam involving letters claiming to be city ordinances.
Authorities say someone is mailing fraudulant letters, claiming homeowners are violating the city’s “Code of Conduct.”
The letters include a fake phone number to call in order to pay a fine.
City leaders say do not call the number on the letter, but instead contact Bolivar City Hall.
