Silver Dollar City Announces New Indoor Roller Coaster

A new rollercoaster will be coming to Silver Dollar City in 2024.

During a press conference Monday, park officials announced the new Fire in the Hole coaster, which will be the largest indoor roller coaster in the Midwest.

The ride will cost some $30 million, with features such as special effects, onboard music and a water splash during the nearly three minute long duration.

SDC spokespeople say they are excited to continue the Fire in the Hole name in a rebranded way.

The original ride was built in 1972, and is currently in its last season at the park.
