Single-Car Crash Near Osceola Kills Teen

A teenager is dead following a single-car crash that occurred near Osceola.

Investigators say the 16-year-old driver, who was from Osceola, was driving the vehicle along State Highway 82 Monday afternoon when the car went off the side of the road.

The driver overcorrected back onto the highway, which caused the car to flip.

Highway Patrol troopers say the teen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

It is the 46th traffic fatality for MSHP Troop D in 2024.
