Crystal and Jeremy Box, who run Road to Damascus Sober Living, say Springfield has plenty of organizations offering help. The problem is people in crisis may not know where to find them.
“All the resources in the world are useless if they can’t find them,” Crystal Box said.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 82 overdose deaths in Springfield in 2024.
What’s Next: Road to Damascus says 208 people have graduated from its sober living program over the past four years. Jeremy Box says the new map could make it easier for local organizations to connect people with the help they need.
Details on how the map will work or when it will become available have not yet been released.
