Springfield Businessman Charged for Illegal Possession of a Firearm

A Springfield businessman has been indicted in federal court for illegal possession of a firearm.

A federal jury in Springfield charged 49-year-old Gary Shidler with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Shidler allegedly had a semi-automatic rifle in his possession.

Shidler has previous had previous convictions for burglary, forgery and trafficking in stolen identities.
