A man from Springfield has pleaded guilty to murdering his wife.
Jacob Hodgkins pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of his wife Ada Hodgkins in May of 2022.
Springfield Police went to a house on Glenview Avenue and found Ada with a gunshot wound to the chest.
She died at a local hospital.
Jacob Hodgkins was arrested later in Utah and brought back to Springfield.
He will be sentenced on August 27.
