A man has been sentenced in federal court for using his residence to traffic drugs and possession of firearms.

A judge sentenced 51-year-old Anthony Brandon of Springfield to 18 years in federal prison without parole.

In May of 2019, Springfield Police executed a search warrant and found several firearms and more than 75 grams of methamphetamine in a couch at Brandon’s residence.

Brandon told investigators he was storing the meth for his connection and would be receiving meth as payment for his help.

Brandon was sentenced as a career offender because of prior convictions.
