After Springfield City Council’s latest decision, no-chance video lottery machines are banned within city limits.

Now, Springfield Police have been tasked with getting the word out to local businesses.
Police Chief Paul Williams says officers will begin enforcing the ruling starting Thursday.

Businesses will see a $500 fine for a first offense, $1,000 for the second, and for the third offense 30 days in jail will be enforced.
