Springfield Police have released the name of the victim of a pedestrian crash late Monday night.
Police say 59- year-old Scott Chance of Springfield was struck by a car as he was crossing Kearney near the Highway 65 exit just before midnight Monday.
He was not in a crosswalk.
Chance was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
