With a city ordinance on marijuana use in place for the city of Springfield, the Springfield Police Department wants residents to know where it is acceptable to use marijuana, and where it isn’t.
The Springfield City Council approved Section 78-762 earlier this month, prohibiting marijuana from being used in public spaces.
A list of those places include, but are not limited to:
- Streets
- Sidewalks
- Highways
- Transportation Facilities
- Amusement Parks
- Parks
- Playgrounds
- Parking Lots
- Common Areas for both homes and apartments
The ordinance is in effect for both recreational and medicinal marijuana users.
