With cases of book banning on the rise in America, a recent report says that Missouri is among the highest states for it in the U.S.

PEN America released a report Thursday, showing Missouri is third in the nation for book banning with 333 cases during the 2022-23 school year.

Florida was number one, with 1,406, while Texas came in at number two with 625 book bans.

Overall, there were 3,362 book bans nationwide last school year, with the majority coming from Republican-leaning areas and school districts.
