Authorities in Springfield are trying to locate the suspect in a stabbing that left one person injured in downtown Springfield.
Springfield Police say the stabbing took place Thursday night at the intersection of South Avenue and McDaniel Street.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a stab wound to his torso.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries. The man is in stable condition.
Investigators say the suspect in the stabbing was seen fleeing the scene in a red pickup, and SPD is currently searching for both the vehicle and the suspect, who’s identity has not been released.
