One person is dead following a shooting after a burglary in Camden County.
Camden County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the scene in Camdenton along Highway 7 at around 3:00am Wednesday morning for reports of a burglary in progress.
According to authorities, the person who called 911 said they had shot one of the suspects, and the other had driven away in a dark-colored vehicle.
Medical personnel attempted life-saving measures on the suspect when they arrived, but were unsuccessful as the suspect died at the scene.
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation at this time, including an attempt to identify the other alleged suspect in the case.
