Three people are dead, including a child, following a car crash in Texas County.
Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers say the car, driven by 23-year-old Tommy Federico of Roby, was travelling on Highway 17 north of Houston Tuesday afternoon when the vehicle went off the right side of the road.
Investigators believe heovercorrected and drove into the path of an oncoming pickup, which caused the crash.
The driver of the pickup was not injured.
Federico, 25-year-old Helen Drury, and a five-year-old girl were pronounced dead at the scene. A three-year-old girl and one-year-old boy are both hospitalized, with the girl being flown to a Kansas City hospital with life-threatening injuries.
